Privacy Policy & Beta Terms
The short version. Bubbles stores what you give it — your
companions, check-ins, chats, and any guides you author — so the experience
works. We don't sell data, we don't run ads, and we don't use tracking
cookies. You can delete your account and everything with it, in the app, at
any time. Bubbles is free during beta; that will change, with notice.
What we store
- Account — a display name you choose, an optional username,
and an optional email address (used only for account recovery and, if you're
invited to co-edit a guide, to grant that access).
- Companions & check-ins — the places you check in to
(name, type, coordinates, your reaction and note) and the memories your
companion distils from them. Location is only recorded when you actively
check in or share it in a chat; there is no background tracking.
- Conversations — your chat history with companions and
guides, so they remember context across sessions and devices.
- Guide content — if you author a guide: its stops,
descriptions, floor plans, and schedules. Notes you explicitly mark as
shared may be woven into what the guide tells other visitors.
- Photos and voice — a photo you attach to a check-in is
stored with that memory. Voice clips you speak are transcribed and then
discarded; generated speech audio is not retained.
Who processes it
- Anthropic (Claude) — chat messages and relevant context
are sent to Anthropic's API to generate your companion's replies. Anthropic
does not train on this API data.
- Email delivery (Resend or SMTP) — only when we send you a
recovery link or an editor invitation.
- Hosting — the app and database run on our hosting
provider's EU-available infrastructure.
- OpenStreetMap — map imagery is fetched server-side; your
identity is not sent to OSM.
We do not sell or share your data with anyone else, and there is no
third-party analytics or advertising SDK in the app.
Cookies & local storage
Bubbles keeps your session in your browser's local storage (your user ID and
preferences). We set no tracking cookies.
Your rights (GDPR)
You can access what the app holds about you directly in the app (your
profile, atlas, and chat history are the data). You can correct your name,
username, and email at any time. You can erase everything:
Profile → Delete account permanently removes your account,
companions, check-ins, memories, conversations, and any guides you created.
This is immediate and irreversible. For anything else — export requests,
questions, complaints — email
konrad.mihat@covr.ro. You also have
the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority
(in Romania, the ANSPDCP).
Beta terms
- Bubbles is in beta. It is provided as-is, free of charge,
and things may occasionally break or change.
- Features that are free today — including personal companions and guide
authoring — may become paid once the beta ends. We'll give
clear notice inside the app before anything changes, and you'll never be
charged silently.
- Fair use applies: daily message limits exist to keep the service healthy
for everyone. If you hit them as a genuine user, tell us and we'll raise them.
- Guide publishing for events is part of the organizer plan, arranged
directly with us during beta — get in
touch.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll note it in the app. The date at the
top always reflects the current version.
